Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA logoThere always seems to be something eerie about black cats and the number thirteen. So who would think that combining these two unlucky things could possibly be a good idea?

The Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA is doing just that with their monthly black cat adoption on the 13th of each month. It seems that two unlucky things can cancel each other out and make for some very happy cats. Don’t let color or superstition stop you from taking home one of these lovable cats.

Each cat is only $13 and the adoption includes spay/neuter surgery, the first round of vaccinations and a microchip to help you track down your little Houdini. These steps help keep your cats happy and healthy.

Even though black cats are trendy for Halloween, keep in mind that animal ownership is not a seasonal thing. If you’re still on the fence, stop by The Pasadena Humane Society’s Fostering 101 day on October 10th, to get more information on how to care for pets of any color.

Who knows, the thirteenth might just be your lucky day.

Lucky 13 Black Cat Adoptions take place from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Pasadena Humane Society, located at 361 S. Raymond, Pasadena.
