Monday, July 17, 2017

Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this week:

Marvin (A428962) is a cuddly, adult guinea pig looking for a new home. This cute boy was left behind by his family and found his way to the Pasadena Humane Society. Guinea pigs need a diet rich in vitamin C and should be fed high quality timothy hay, pellets and fresh veggies. They may also enjoy the occasional piece of fruit as a snack. Guinea pigs make great indoor pets and are often a good pet for kids.

The adoption fee for guinea pigs is $10. New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

Call the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA at (626) 792-7151 to ask about A428962, or visit at 361 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email. Directions and photos of all pets can be found at pasadenahumane.org.

Strudel (A416309) is a very energetic 2-month-old kitten. She loves to run around with her siblings and play with toys. She’s very vocal and always asks to be picked up. Her foster mom says that she just meows out of happiness when you walk into the room. She has a big personality and is a total sweetheart. Strudel is litter box trained and will make a great pet for any family.

The adoption fee for cats is $75. All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before being adopted.
